Get ready for one of my favorite luxury wedding features!

After a long, cold Midwestern winter, the beautiful Arizona dessert greeted me with warm, open arms and probably more Vitamin D than my body could handle.

I felt like I used up all of my luck for the year when I took my first step off the plane and onto the desert ground. My photography gear and I had just narrowly escaped a gnarly ice storm the day prior, but I wasn’t about to let the inch of ice on my windshield or my 1 am alarm get in the way of missing this editorial at one of my favorite luxury wedding venus in the country!

El Chorro has been a dream venue for so many years, it’s hard to believe that this girly from a small Wisconsin town finally had the chance to turn a dream into a reality. Every once in a while I remember my original dreams when I started. It’s funny how they change over time without you really noticing. At first, dreams always seem unattainable – the climb is so great and you always seem so small. Then one day, seemingly all at once, you realize that you’re already there and envisioning your next big dream.

Arriving at El Chorro was even better than I imagined. Seriously. Every inch of this space is gorgeous. From the secret brick pathways around the venue, cactuses framing the mountains in the background, to intimate courtyards, this place really has it all.
